Teacher Spotlight

Heidi Bourque

Director and Lead & Assistant Teacher

The students at Merri-Loo call me Ms. Heidi.  I moved to Goffstown 14 years ago, where my family and I built our wonderful home. My husband Mike, son Cameron and daughter Aimee and I share a home with our dogs, Rusty and Patch, our cats, Thomas and Sabrina and our bearded dragon,Yo-Yo.

I attended the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Education in addition to a minor in Psychology.  I was also a member of the Girls Track team.  Years later, I decided to go back to graduate school.  I then, received my dual Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and General Special Ed for grades K-8.

This will be my 11th year working at Merri-Loo.  Prior to that, I was a Health Educator in M.A., working with Tobacco & Protect Teen Health Peer Leaders and educating youth on Alcohol and other Drugs.  I’ve always loved working with children and teens of all ages.  My hobbies include, watching movies, spending time with my now teenagers and working out at Orange Theory Fitness, OTF.  I've had the opportunity to Coach for the Goffstown Rec. Soccer & Girls Lacrosse, Goffstown Screamin’ Eagles Cheer and MVMS Track and Field teams.  In addition to coaching, I served on the GSE Board as the Concessions and Co-Fundraising Coordinator and Cheer Director for my final year.
